1. Define the job before the model

Write the task, environment, payload, users, route, integrations, quantity, destination and acceptance criteria. A model shortlist built before this step often optimizes the wrong variables.

2. Separate company roles

Confirm which legal entity manufactures, owns the brand, exports, invoices, licenses software and provides warranty. These roles may belong to different parties.

3. Normalize the evidence

Ask suppliers to quote the same configuration and answer the same evidence checklist. Mark claims as manufacturer-provided until independently checked.

4. Validate before scale

Use remote evidence, samples, factory review and FAT in proportion to project risk. Define pass/fail conditions before testing.

5. Plan the full lifecycle

Include packaging, battery documents, installation, training, remote access, firmware, consumables, spare parts, repair and end-of-life support.
